Privacy and What Happens to Your Data
Calculators run in your browser, the numbers you type are never sent to a server, and this page says exactly what is and is not collected.
Calculators and the numbers you enter
The calculators on this site run in the browser, and the numbers you enter are never sent to a server. Lot size, margin and pip value for gold (XAU/USD) are worked out on your own device, and nothing you type into a field is transmitted, stored or logged by the desk. You can use them without an account and without giving a name.
That matters for a trading reader, because the figures people test are often close to their real position size and account balance. The desk does not want them and does not collect them. If you close the tab, the numbers go with it.
How long data is kept and what causes deletion
Calculator inputs are kept only for the browser session and disappear when you close the tab, refresh the page or clear site data. Nothing typed into a gold calculator is written to a server, so there is no stored copy to expire later. The only lasting traces are the cookies described above, and each has its own lifetime: the cookie-choice cookie lasts until you clear it or it reaches its set expiry, while analytics cookies expire on the schedule set by the analytics service.
Email you send to the site is kept only as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of the exchange, after which it is deleted. There is no mailing list, so no address is retained for marketing. Technical request logs held by the hosting provider are kept for a short rolling period for security and troubleshooting and are then overwritten. Affiliate click records sit with the broker, not here, and their retention follows the broker's policy.
Deletion happens in three ways: you clear cookies or site data in your browser, a cookie reaches its expiry date, or a retention period for logs or email runs out. You can also request deletion of an email you sent by contacting the site. No backup keeps calculator inputs because they were never stored. If you want a clean slate before using a shared device, close the tab and clear site data; the next session starts with no memory of the previous one.
What Ilesha Ingot stores and what it never stores
Ilesha Ingot stores only what is needed to run the calculators and keep the site working: the numbers you type into a calculator while the page is open, and basic technical logs that your browser sends automatically. It does not store your name, email address, phone number, bank account details, card numbers or any broker login on this site. There is no account system here, so nothing identifies you personally unless you choose to contact the site directly by email or another channel you initiate yourself.
The site never stores the figures you enter into a calculator after you close or refresh the page. Gold lot size, entry price, stop distance and similar inputs stay in your browser's memory for the session only. Nothing is written to a database on the server, and nothing is attached to a profile because no profile exists. If you use a public or shared device, closing the browser tab clears the calculator's working state, and the next person does not see the numbers you typed.
Ilesha Ingot does not store payment details because no payment happens on this site. Funding a broker account with naira through bank transfer, a Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payments or crypto takes place on the broker's own platform, not here. Any receipt, card number or transfer reference you enter there is handled under that broker's privacy policy, not this one. This site only explains how those methods work in Nigeria; it never asks for or keeps the credentials or transaction data involved.
Affiliate tracking in plain terms
Ilesha Ingot earns money through affiliate links, which means that when you click a link to a broker and later open an account, the site may receive a payment from that broker. The link carries a small identifier so the broker can tell the visit came from here. That identifier is not your name, your email or your bank details; it is a code attached to the click. The broker, not this site, then decides whether an account was opened and whether a payment is due.
Affiliate tracking does not change what you pay. The cost of trading gold with any broker consists of the spread quoted at the moment you trade, any commission the broker charges and any swap for positions held overnight, and those terms are set by the broker for all clients. This site does not receive a share of your spread or commission. Whether a broker is worth using depends on its own terms, its execution and its regulatory position, not on whether a link here carries a tracking code.
You can avoid affiliate tracking entirely by typing the broker's address into your browser instead of clicking a link on this site. If you do click, the tracking code is normally stored by the broker as a cookie on your device and is governed by the broker's privacy policy, not this one. Ilesha Ingot does not see the trades you place, the balance of your account or the outcome of any affiliate referral beyond an aggregated count of clicks and, where the broker reports it, whether an account was opened.
Your rights over your data and how to exercise them
You have the right to ask what personal data Ilesha Ingot holds about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted and to object to analytics tracking. In practice the site holds almost nothing that identifies you: no account, no email list and no stored calculator inputs. If you have emailed the site, that message and your address are the main personal data involved, and you can ask for them to be removed. Requests are handled by replying to the address you used or by writing to the contact address published on the site.
To exercise a right, state clearly what you want, for example deletion of an email you sent or confirmation that no profile exists. Because there is no login, the site may ask you to reply from the same email address so it can find the message you mean. There is no fee for a normal request. If your request concerns a broker, a bank or a card issuer, it must go to that organisation, because Ilesha Ingot never receives your trading account data, your naira transfer records or your card details.
You can also act without contacting anyone. Reject analytics cookies in the banner, clear cookies in your browser, use a private window when you do not want a session kept, and type a broker's address directly instead of clicking an affiliate link. These steps reduce what is recorded to the technical logs the hosting provider keeps to run the site. If you believe a broker has mishandled your data, the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators helps you confirm who is authorised before you escalate.
Traffic counts and local storage
Only aggregate traffic counts are kept, such as how many visits a page received. These counts do not identify a reader and are not used to build a profile or to follow anyone across other sites. The desk does not sell data, does not run a login, and does not ask for an email address to read a page.
Local storage on your device holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator. That information stays in your browser and is there so the page behaves the way you left it. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and nothing is lost on the server side because nothing was sent there.
Broker cookies and leaving this site
A broker sets its own cookies under its own policy. When you follow an affiliate link to a broker, you leave this site and the broker's cookie and privacy rules apply from that point, including any tracking used to attribute the referral. The desk does not control those cookies and cannot read them; read the broker's policy before you register.
The regulator position is stated as it is known: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA; confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators. That statement is about the broker, not about this desk, which is not licensed and holds no client money. Questions about this page can go to editor@ileshaingotng.com.
The kinds of cookies this site uses and what each one is for
Ilesha Ingot uses three kinds of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that let the site load and remember your cookie choice, preference cookies that keep settings such as your selected instrument or display option, and analytics cookies that count visits and show which pages are read. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent because the site cannot function without them. Preference and analytics cookies are set only after you accept them through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that acceptance at any time.
Each cookie has one job. The necessary cookie remembers that you have already seen the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every page. The preference cookie keeps a small setting such as whether you last viewed the gold calculator in ounces or lots. The analytics cookie records a page view without your name, email or exact location. No cookie on this site stores calculator inputs, broker passwords, card numbers or bank transfer references, because those never reach the site in the first place.
You control every non-essential cookie from the banner and from your browser settings. Rejecting analytics cookies does not block the calculators or the guides; the site still works, it simply does not count your visit. Clearing cookies in your browser removes the stored choice, and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Because the site serves readers in Nigeria and elsewhere, the same cookie set applies to everyone, and no cookie is used to build a profile of your trading activity or your income.
Third parties that touch data when you use this site
The third parties involved are the hosting provider that serves the pages, the analytics service that counts visits if you accept analytics cookies, and the brokers reached through affiliate links. The hosting provider processes technical request logs such as your IP address and browser type so the site can load and stay online. The analytics service receives a page view and a cookie identifier, not your calculator inputs. Brokers receive data only after you follow a link to their own site and are then covered by their own privacy notices.
No third party receives the numbers you type into a gold calculator. Those figures stay in your browser and are never sent to the hosting provider, the analytics service or any broker. The only exception is if you copy a result and paste it into an email or a broker's chat yourself, which is your action and falls under that recipient's policy. Ilesha Ingot does not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone, and it does not pass reader details to brokers in bulk.
The broker named on this site, FxPro, is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA, and the entity that serves Nigeria is FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. That regulatory detail is given so you can check it yourself: confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators before sending money. This site is not a broker, does not hold client funds and does not open accounts. Any data you give a broker, including naira bank transfer references or card details, is handled under that broker's policy.
